Combustion and Air Quality: Emissions Monitoring
Students use a rentable, inexpensive air quality monitor to measure vehicle emissions. Applying knowledge about combustion chemistry gained during the pre-activity reading (or lecture presentation), students predict how different vehicle emissions differ regarding pollutants (CO2, VOCs, and NO2) and explain why.
